Translation Info
Notes The Publisher’s Preface states that this edition "is designed to be a book of great value in respect to the fullness and accuracy of its information, and in the facility with which information may be derived from it." All of the maps have been engraved by the cerographic process, a method of engraving on wax that was invented by Sidney Morse in 1834. What makes this copy increasingly rare is the fact that it is published in Toronto. Not in the Bibliography of Canadiana in the Toronto Public Library. An excellent copy. The maps cover Eastern Canada, Canada West (Ontario), Nova Scotia, New Brunswick, nearly every state in the United States (with the map of Louisiana, which is often missing).
