Contains details and descriptions of the cities along the Mississippi and Ohio Rivers, including St. Louis, New Orleans and Cincinnati. Also contains guides to Mammoth Cave, the Great Lakes, etc. Lists steamboat and rail routes through the relevant states, including Texas. Bookplate of Wesleyan University Library, from the library of Jarvis Nichols Husted M.D., on the verso of the top cover. There is also the imprint of the Wesleyan University Library on one of the advertising pages.
