Two large cartouches: the upper right depicts Europeans trading with Natives, lower left depicts a sea battle. Decorative title cartouche as well.
This map is based upon Delisle's map of 1703, titled "Carte des environs du Mississippi". This map illustrated the routes for the gold plunders of the Incans by the Spanish. Also of note is the fact that the source of both the Rio Grande and the Mississippi are well detailed, considering the period.
