Notes A very scarce celestial globe by the renowned English 19th century globe maker, James Manning. The globe has a height of 16.5 inches and a diameter of 12 inches. The sphere is mounted in a brass graduated meridian ring on a wooden base with four legs. The globe is on a twin rotating axis, able to rotate in both a horizontal and vertical direction.
