Condition Minor brownspotting, skillful restoration on the lower margin, otherwise very good; laid down on acid-free paper for long-term preservation.
Notes The Hearts of Oak Society was a British trade union, founded in 1842 to benefit its members for purely economic reasons (as opposed to traditional societies along social, craft, or heraldic lines). The trade union's emblem sits beneath vignette scenes centred around the 131-gun warship the HMS Hearts of Oak. Represented outside the vignettes are allegorical figures of Britannia, Neptune, Agriculture, Commerce and the Thames.
